Five Guys is bringing the heat to Goose Creek, with a fresh burger and fry fix coming at the end of the month.

The new spot will open at 2820 N. Main St., led by franchise owners and husband-and-wife team Jeff and Christine Steiner. Steiner told What Now Charleston, this will be the couple’s 34th location, with restaurants across North Carolina, South Carolina and Eastern Tennessee.

While the interior will feature the classic red-and-white Five Guys look, the Goose Creek location will carry a mission unique to the Steiners.

“We’re a little bit different because we’re family-owned and operated. A big part of our mission as a family is giving back to the community and working with our employee base to help them to be better people than when they first arrived at our door step,” Steiner said.

He continued, “We’re a Christian-based company. We do have chaplains in all our stores; we have two chaplains that now support the Goose Greek store for our crew. We also do unique stuff with our employees if they run into some challenging times. We’ve got a caring team structure that provides support.”

The team plans to give back to the community by donating meals and funds to local Meals on Wheels, hosting first responder appreciation days, supporting local schools, and offering promotions during the grand opening.

The Steiners are also introducing this year’s theme, “Hospitality that Inspires.”

“The term hospitality, I think, is intriguing. It’s being kind to friends and strangers. The strangers part is a big deal; we all have stories. Those stories are what weave us together as a community. We’re really leaning into that as it relates to how we treat our guests and how we treat each other,” he said.

Beyond these special initiatives, Steiner emphasizes the quality of Five Guys’ food. His go-to order is a bacon cheeseburger with all the works–lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard, grilled onions and mushrooms.

“If you want a great burger and fries, it’s as pure as it can be,” he said. “It’s very fresh and a no additive product.”

For those watching carbs, Five Guys offers a lettuce wrap. The shop also has quarter-pound all-beef hot dogs and creamy milkshakes, perfect to enjoy with a meal or even to dip fries in.

The Goose Creek location holds a grand opening celebration at 11 a.m. on January 31 with music, prizes and signature Five Guys favorites. As part of the celebration, the restaurant will hold a drawing to give five customers a free burger each week for a year, while five additional winners will receive a free order of fries every week for a year.

Five Guys will be open daily from 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.
