A new brunch spot is getting ready to open in Florence.

First of the Month Eatery is a bold, all-day brunch concept founded by Rhyan Weaver and Kendrick Parker, the duo behind the popular and growing Why Not Wings brand, which now has four locations across the Carolinas.

Known for blending flavor, culture and creativity, the team is bringing its signature energy to this latest project.

“We’re building off the energy that’s made Why Not Wings and The Chemist R&B Brunch so popular — great food, a strong vibe, and community roots,” Weaver said. “This is more than a restaurant; it’s an experience. It’s an all-day brunch spot. Whether you’re here for mimosas, comfort food, or just good energy — you’ll find it.”

The new spot is “inspired by the bills we all dread and the meals we all love.” Guests can expect a playful menu, moody luxe atmosphere and neighborhood vibe that feels like home, even when rent’s due.

“With First of the Month Eatery, we wanted to bring something fresh to the brunch scene — something that feels real and a little bit familiar. We’ve all felt that first-of-the-month pressure, so why not make it taste good? Every detail at First of the Month is intentional, from the design to the names on the menu,” Parker told What Now Charleston.

The restaurant is currently hiring for line cooks, servers, bartenders, hosts and bussers. Applicants can apply by submitting their resumes through the website.

First of the Month Eatery is scheduled to open this summer at 1935 W. Palmetto St., serving brunch all day, seven days a week, starting at 10 a.m.
