A new farm-to-table restaurant and speakeasy is set to debut in Bluffton this winter, offering a thoughtfully curated culinary experience for the community.
Greenhouse, a new venture from sisters Jennifer and Melissa Perri, will open at 1260 May River Road.
“Growing up in our family’s restaurant, some of our fondest memories were made in the kitchen and around the table, learning to cook together, sneaking bites of dessert, and sharing meals that brought everyone closer. Now, with Greenhouse, we’re bringing those memories to life in Bluffton! This restaurant is our love letter to family, to community, and to Bluffton,” the duo shared via Facebook.
The restaurant will feature seasonal entrees and small plates in an urban oasis blending modern style with Lowcountry charm.
Upstairs, the speakeasy will serve handcrafted cocktails reimagining timeless classics alongside inventive new creations. Highlights include a refined French 75 made with gin, lemon juice and simple syrup—shaken, double strained into a flute and topped with prosecco, then garnished with a Luxardo cherry and lemon peel. Another standout, the Mary Pickford, features rum, fresh pineapple juice, Luxardo maraschino, a splash of grenadine and a cherry on top for a balanced, pale-pink finish, according to the Facebook page.
“It’s going to be a much smaller space, so you’re going to have that nice, cozy atmosphere with dim lighting. We’ll have a much more elevated cocktail menu upstairs, with a lot of signature cocktails being developed by Carlos Ruiz. We will be staying open a little bit later upstairs at night on the weekends. We’re trying to extend our hours to give a little bit more variety in the neighborhood,” Jennifer said in a Facebook video announcement.
Greenhouse also plans to host a variety of events throughout the year, including St. Patrick’s Day and other festive celebrations. The space is designed to be available for private rentals, such as small weddings, bridal showers or company parties. Event bookings for 2026 will open in winter 2025.
“This town is filled with the most amazing people, and we couldn’t imagine creating Greenhouse anywhere else,” a post read.
While an official opening date has not been announced, the sisters are aiming to open Greenhouse between winter 2025 and early 2026. For updates, visit the restaurant’s website and follow along on Instagram and Facebook.
