Goose Creek smoothie and cold-pressed juice cafe Juiceria Bar is adding a second location in Eastside Charleston’s new Morrison Yard development with a new name and look. It’s expected that the new location will open in late 2023.

Construction permits were submitted for the Blue Heart Kitchen buildout at 850 Morrison Drive last week. Jonathon Best, who co-owns Juiceria with his wife Taylor, confirmed that the forthcoming restaurant is an expansion of the existing juice bar. The flagship location will soon be rebranded under the same name. “It’s an elevated look that fits more of who we are and what we do,” said Best.

Best also disclosed that the new location will keep the same menu as the existing cafe, but will get a “new look” as part of the rebrand. Patrons can expect the same fast-casual service in a bright and colorful atmosphere. The Morrison Yard site is larger than the original location, giving room for more seating and lounging areas.

Morrison Yard is a large-scale mixed-use development overlooking the Ravenel Bridge that’s been in the works since 2020. Phase one of the development was delivered earlier this year.

The Bests expect the construction process to move quickly once permits are approved and are anticipating a grand opening for Blue Heart Kitchen in the fourth quarter of 2023.
