Parisian cocktail bar Felix Cocktails et Cuisine will open a new concept in Spring 2024.
Construction permits have been submitted to the city of Charleston for the reupfit of a 1,644-square-foot space at 550 King Street Suite 150 into La Cave, next door to Suite 100 where Felix has operated since 2017. Plans for the unit, which was vacated by OddFellows Ice Cream in February 2023, appear to include a 9-seat bar, about 20 restaurant seats, and a 16-seat private event room.
An Instagram profile for La Cave describes it as an “exclusive Sipping Lounge & Salon Privé” designed to complement its sister restaurant with an expanded wine list, craft cocktail program, small bites and a focus on private parties and events.
Felix itself is a reflection of owner and chef Felix Landrum‘s French heritage, serving rotating bistro cuisine dishes inspired by its locally-sourced produce and seafood. Since its opening in 2017, it’s been popular for its blend of Parisian and Southern tradition among late-night patrons in Midtown Charleston.
While initial announcements targeted November for the La Cave opening, recent updates have shifted the timeline to Spring 2024. La Cave has even already sold out a Signature Dinner event with chef Lana Lagomarsini for March 4 of next year, so look out for a possible grand opening around that time.
