Mai Poke Bowl is opening its third location inside The Market at Oakland in Mt. Pleasant. Mai Poke is owned by the creators of East Bay Deli, which has several stores throughout the Charleston and Columbia areas.
The Hawaiian restaurant’s menu features a variety of customizable and signature poke bowls, acai bowls, smoothies and salads. To build their own bowl, customers start with a base of brown rice, sushi rice or salad, then add up to five toppings (i.e. cucumber, corn, ginger, seaweed salad), two proteins (i.e. fresh tuna, salmon shrimp, chicken), two sauces and some “crunch” (i.e. sunflower seeds or wonton strips).
According to district manager Alyssa Lund, the Oakland Market location is still in the build out phase and should be open by early March. Delivery will be available through DoorDash, Uber Eats and Grubhub, and catering will be available through EZ Cater.
