Local restaurant group The Neighborhood Dining Group, who shut down their two popular East Bay St restaurants in 2020, are returning to the block with a new steakhouse in early 2024.
Minero and McCrady’s, neighbors on East Bay St, were staples in the Charleston restaurant scene until their closure amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Following their closure, the Neighborhood Dining Group opted to focus their energy away from downtown, opening a new Minero on Johns Island and their newest venture The James on James Island. The group also operates the award-winning Husk and Delaney Oyster House.
Now, they’re planning to return to Downtown Charleston to add a fifth restaurant. According to Post and Courier, that concept is Marbled & Fin, a modern steakhouse with a penchant for seafood and wet- and dry-aged beef. Located in a mixed-use complex shared with South Atlantic Bank, Charleston City Paper and Prestige Cleaners at 480 E Bay St, the restaurant will feature about 160 indoor dining seats and 30 seats in an outdoor courtyard.
The Neighborhood Dining Group operates additional locations of Husk in Nashville and Savannah and Minero in Atlanta. Currently, there are no further plans for new restaurants, but group President David Howard told Post and Courier that they are focused on Charleston.
Marbled & Fin is expected to open in the first half of 2024.
