A new Italian restaurant is in the works on Muhlenbergia Drive in Mount Pleasant from the owners of the nearby Migliori’s Pizzeria.

Donald Migliori recently applied for a license to sell alcohol under a new business, Migliori’s Restaurant. Construction is underway for the 6,000-square-foot restaurant at The Shops at Gregorie Ferry, which also houses The Goddard School and Panera Bread. Migliori purchased the .85 acre property off U.S. Hwy 17 for $3.45 million in 2022.

According to reporting by Post and Courier, the current Migliori’s Pizza location will move its service from a nearby 2,000-square-foot space on Highway 41 to the Muhlenbergia Drive location and transition to a different Italian concept.

Migliori’s Pizzeria, fondly known as “Mig’s” to locals, has been in business since 2020 and is inspired by true Italian pizzerias and trattorias, featuring the recipes and traditions of Donald and Joanne Migliori’s family.

Migliori told Post and Courier he hopes to open the new restaurant in the beginning of 2024.
