A new Mexican café from the creators of a Mexican market and ice cream shop is set to open in Hanahan.

Pamela Sierra and Jaime Tinoco are bringing Kooben to 1264 Yeamans Hall Rd.

According to Sierra, the café will offer a wide range of Mexican pastries, breakfast items, and coffee beverages, including chilaquiles, omelets, French toast, breakfast tacos, and Mexican sweet bread.

Sierra and Tinoco also own El Molino Supermarket in North Charleston and are preparing to launch an artisanal Mexican ice cream and popsicle shop this fall.

Kooben is expected to open in the coming weeks and will operate from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m.
