North Charleston is getting a new ramen spot.

Katsubō Chicken & Ramen is planned for Park Circle at 4628 Spruill Avenue, The Post and Courier reports. The space was formerly occupied by the Chinese-American restaurant Jackrabbit Filly, which relocated late last year.

The new ramen spot is expected to serve both vegetarian and meat-based broths that could change throughout the year, along with other dishes like edamame and gyoza dumplings, according to the news outlet. It previously operated as a pop-up at The Daily.

Katsubō Chicken & Ramen comes from chef and restaurateur Joe Nierstedt, who formerly operated the fried-chicken restaurant KinFolk in Johns Island. The eatery closed in 2023. Nierstedt has experience as a private chef and in esteemed establishments.

Katsubō Chicken & Ramen is targeting a March opening.
