Olive & Fig will be opening a second storefront at 321 Hope Pond Way by early summer. The authentic Mediterranean restaurant is owned by Tammy and Chef Munjid Yousif.

Olive & Fig’s Hilton Head outpost serves a variety of traditional Middle Eastern and Greek dishes like tabbouleh, hummus, Fattoush, baba ghanoush, kibbeh, stuffed grape leaves, falafel, pitas, shawarmas, kabobs and baklava.

According to Chef Yousif, “The menu will be like our original location plus some additions. We have more cooking equipment, like a charcoal oven, which allows us to expand our offerings. We’ll add a unique homemade lamb sausage, a couple of infused hummus flavors such as roasted red pepper, half a chicken, and a couple of rice choices, to name a few.”

When asked why they chose this location, the chef responded, “The New Riverside area is growing fast. When we signed the lease there were almost 53,000 residents within a 5 mile radius, and now it’s probably closer to 60,000. There are really limited restaurant options, too, so we think it’s a great opportunity to bring our authentic Lebanese and Greek cuisine to the neighborhood. We even expect some Savannah customers to make the drive up like they do at our Hilton Head restaurant.”

As their website states, Tammy and Chef Yousif are “Blending American and Lebanese dreams” with their Olive & Fig venture.

“We can’t wait to open,” concluded Chef Yousif.
