Republic Hospitality, a prominent hospitality company based in Charleston, is opening a new concept called Zachary’s Daiquiris at 460 King St.

The new concept is set to open in the former home of Basil restaurant, which closed in 2021 after 19 years, according to The Post and Courier. Republic Hospitality hopes to open the restaurant by Mardi Gras, with a grand opening planned for February 28. Customers can expect a chic daiquiri destination with plenty of delicious cocktails. When Zachary’s Daiquiris opens at the end of this month, customers can expect house-made frozen daiquiris with 12 frozen concoctions.

“We’ve spent months perfecting our frozen daiquiris, and we are thrilled to finally share them with Charleston,” Lea Aylor, CEO of Republic Hospitality, tells The Post and Courier. “Our team has worked incredibly hard to bring this vision to life from conception, to build out, to the guest experience.”

Local landmarks and destinations inspire each flavor, such as The King, The Rainbow Row, and The Folly. On top of these delicious daiquiris, the frozen cocktail bar will also have a full bar menu and small bites from executive chef Mike Watson. Additional dining options include salads, sandwiches, and flatbreads. Other concepts from Republic Hospitality include Republic Garden & Lounge, Bourbon N’ Bubbles, MESU, and Lamar’s Sporting Club.
