A new spot for gluten-free fare is coming soon to Summerville.

Owner Renee DiLorenzo told What Now Charleston that she’s actively searching for the perfect location to establish her restaurant, Gluten Free Gourmet Hub.

As the name suggests, Gluten Free Gourmet Hub will focus entirely on gluten-free and allergy-friendly foods, offering a two-in-one concept that includes a restaurant and storefront.

The lunch menu will feature a variety of classic staples like soups, salads, and sandwiches, while dinner will spotlight Italian favorites such as traditional chicken parmesan and spaghetti with meatballs. DiLorenzo also mentioned that the restaurant will serve Spanish dishes, including Mojo pork, picadillo, and chicken with yellow rice. Brunch will be available on Saturdays and Sundays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

The storefront will stock a wide selection of gluten-free items not commonly found in traditional grocery stores, offering greater variety for those with dietary restrictions. DiLorenzo is also exploring the idea of hosting cooking classes for all ages.

Gluten Free Gourmet Hub is expected to debut in May 2025. For updates, check out the eatery’s Facebook and Instagram pages.

UPDATE: An earlier version of this article stated that Gluten Free Gourmet Hub would operate as a bakery; however, it will function exclusively as a restaurant and storefront. This article has been updated to reflect the change. Additionally, DiLorenzo’s plans to open in Nexton have fallen through, and she is now seeking a new Summerville site.
