Sweetgreen’s Newest Restaurant to Open at Plaza Midwood on 4/21

To celebrate the grand opening on 4/21, guests can enjoy special events and giveaways

Sweetgreen will open its newest restaurant at Plaza Midwood (1710 Commonwealth Ave) in Charlotte on Tuesday, April 21!

The new 2,200 SQ FT location will be open from 10 AM to 10 PM daily, serving up salads, warm bowls, protein plates, and sides – including the Harvest Bowl, Crispy Rice Bowl, Caramelized Garlic Steak, and Miso Glazed Salmon. For a limited time, guests can also delight in Sweetgreen’s new Chicken Sesame Crunch—a bright, citrus-forward salad that reimagines a California classic with bold flavor and crunch—as well as the new Korean BBQ–inspired menu, featuring Sweetgreen’s most popular protein with a savory, umami-forward glaze and balanced heat.

Ahead of opening on 4/21, folks can RSVP (via this link) for a sneak peek + a complimentary meal on  4/17 + 4/18.

To celebrate the grand opening on 4/21, guests can enjoy special events and giveaways* starting Tuesday and throughout the week (Available while supplies last. Limit 1 per person. Terms apply). Festivities include:

  • Tuesday, 4/21: Tomato Print Bucket Hat Giveaway* from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Thursday, 4/23: Custom Embroidered Tote by C2 Studio* from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Saturday, 4/25: Flowers from Bentley’s Buds Flower Truck* from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM
  • Saturday, 4/25: Mascot appearance from Homer the Dragon from 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Plus, for every meal purchased on opening day, Sweetgreen will donate a meal to Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina to nourish people in Greater Charlotte experiencing food insecurity.
