After deciding to close their South End location earlier this month, Bossy Beulah’s is bringing its chicken tenders and sandwiches to Park Road Shopping Center this summer.

It will open at a 2,100-square-foot space at 512 Brandywine Road in early August, offering more parking and a better patio than the previous South End location, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.

Bossy Beulah’s Chicken Shack already has four locations in Charlotte, Winston-Salem, Fort Mill and the Bowl at Ballantyne. It also has a spot still on the way to Concord, which is expected to open soon.

Bossy Beulah’s is part of Jim Noble’s Noble Food and Pursuits, which also features local brands like Copain Bakery & Provisions, Noble Smoke and Rooster’s. He opened the fast-casual brand in 2019 as a nod to his great-aunt Beulah, who was an expert at cooking fried chicken.

“I’m lucky that she taught me her recipe decades ago. We’ve been sharing it with guests for more than a decade, and then brought it here, to her namesake restaurant,” Noble wrote on the Bossy Beulah’s website. “Take one bite and you’ll understand — ‘The Beaut’ is a sandwich with an old soul.”

Menu items include The Beaut, a chicken sandwich with pickles and mayo on a Copain bun, as well as other chicken sandwiches, bites, wings and tenders.

Noble also has some other projects in the works, including Copain Bakery & Brasserie, which is heading to The Bowl at Ballantyne later this year. Noble Food & Pursuits recently opened in Winston-Salem, as well.

Moving forward, customers can expect to see Bossy Beulah’s continue to expand.
