The Mina Group, helmed by award-winning chef Michael Mina, is bringing Bourbon Steak to the Charlotte market, a representative with Mina Group confirmed with What Now Charlotte. The spot will go into The Ritz-Carlton at 201 East Trade St., replacing the Punch Room on the 15th floor, according to the Charlotte Business Journal.
Bourbon Steak Charlotte is expected to open in 2026 at the hotel, according to a statement on the Mina Group website.
“Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina will introduce the Queen City to a modern American steakhouse rooted in timeless technique and luxurious hospitality,” the website states. “Guests can expect expertly prepared prime cuts, pristine seafood and seasonal produce, alongside a world-class wine list and craft cocktails — all in an elegant, welcoming setting.”
Menus at other Bourbon Steak locations feature items like chilled seafood and crudo; lobster; appetizers like steak tartare and duck spring rolls; and a variety of steak cuts ranging from Black Angus beef to Japanese Wagyu.
Bourbon Steak has locations across the country, including New York, Los Angeles and Nashville.
The San Francisco-based Mina Group has been growing for the past two decades and now operates more than 30 chef-driven concepts across the country, according to the website.

Chef Mina has received multiple recognitions from the James Beard Foundation and received a Michelin star for his Michael Mina restaurant. In addition to Bourbon Steak, the Mina Group also includes concepts such as Bardot Brasserie, Beach House, The Bungalow Kitchen, Lunara, Mina’s Fish House, Orla, Sorelle and Wit & Wisdom.
Bourbon Steak will be the first Mina Group concept to enter the Charlotte market.
