Coffee brand Caffeto is opening a coffee shop inside the forthcoming community shopping area The Outpost, which is preparing to open in Cornelius at 20910 Torrence Chapel Road. The Outpost’s Instagram page describes it as a “one-stop-shop” for coffee, goods and community

“The Outpost is dedicated to fostering an inclusive, family-friendly community space that brings the outdoors inside,” an Instagram post by The Outpost account states. “It is a place where people can gather together to socialize, work, shop and enjoy great coffee while embracing a lifestyle of connection and adventure.”

The Outpost is a collaboration between Caffeto and adventure clothing brand Outsiders and Co., run by mother-daughter team Amy Jolly and Aubrey Welch.

Caffeto currently operates as a permanent coffee truck in NoDa, which has been open since earlier this year. Owner Valentina Castellanos told What Now Charlotte in an interview earlier this year that she was searching for a brick-and-mortar space that she was hoping to open in the “not-too-far future.”

Caffeto sources their coffee from a family farm that Castellanos’s father bought in Colombia five years ago. Castellanos places emphasis on using high-quality beans to produce their specialty coffee beverages.

Castellanos has big plans for expansion. She previously shared she eventually hopes to franchise the concept.

At this time, an exact opening for The Outpost and the new Caffeto brick-and-mortar remains unclear. However, it appears they are reaching the final stages of development and that it could open this summer.
