A new restaurant, Dilworth Social House, will be opening at 1301 East Blvd in January. The new spot, which is taking over the former Bakersfield location, comes from Vitale Hospitality Group.

The concept’s Facebook page states that it will be a “neighborhood gathering place in the heart of Charlotte’s Dilworth community.” It will offer a casual atmosphere for families and will feature TVs for sports, jukeboxes, beer, cocktails and food. The menu will offer American comfort food such as burgers, wings, sandwiches, appetizers and salads.

“Our goal with Dilworth Social is simple — to create a true neighborhood spot where people can unwind, connect, and enjoy great food and drinks in a relaxed, friendly environment,” the team shared in a statement. “Dilworth has an incredible community energy, and we want this space to become the neighborhood’s go-to hangout.”

Vitale Hospitality is also behind casual American restaurant-bar Midtown Tavern on East Third Street. That spot serves chef-driven entrees, burgers, salads, wraps, sandwiches and wood-fired pizzas.
