Ellianos is making its first foray into the Charlotte market with a location heading to Mooresville at 1074 Brawley School Road.
Franchise owner Luke Carrender told What Now Charlotte that construction is currently underway and they are planning to open the location in the spring or early summer. The spot will be an 800-square-foot drive-thru location with a walk-up window and a few outdoor tables in front for customers to use.
Carrender knew about the Ellianos brand because of his family ties. Scott and Pam Stewart, who launched the brand in 2002 in Lake City, Fla., are the uncle and aunt of Carrender’s wife. When the opportunity arose to bring Ellianos to the Charlotte area, Carrender took it.
“It seemed like Ellianos could do really well up here, so we took the leap,” Carrender said.
The chain is known for serving specialty coffee, freezers, energy drinks, refreshers and smoothies. It currently has locations in Florida, Georgia and Alabama, with plans to franchise into more markets soon.
As for Carrender, he plans to open at least two more locations following the Mooresville site, targeting the Lake Norman area. He hopes to open those locations in the next two or three years.
“I want everyone to experience the quality,” Carrender said. “They have some really, really good drinks. We want it to be a good experience.”
