Real estate developer OmShera Holdings is bringing a new sports lounge, Blinders, to South End this spring, according to a release. Construction is underway on the space at 225 West Tremont Avenue, which was formerly a 1950s manufacturing facility.

Blinders will have a 5,500-square-foot interior, with room to seat 160. It will feature a large $1.5 million AV viewing experience and state-of-the-art sound system designed to make customers feel more involved in the viewing experience. The screen is about 60 feet wide and 15 feet tall. The space will offer both bar seating, as well as banquette boxes available for reservations.

The sports lounge will also have a 1,500-square-foot outdoor patio, with room to seat 50 customers. The outdoor space will offer multiple additional televisions for viewing.

“South End and Charlotte already have some amazing places,” Kush Anandani, director at OmShera Holdings, said in a statement to What Now Charlotte. “We hope to add a bit of variety with a big screen, and hopefully, people like the vibe.”

OmShera Holdings has a strong portfolio in hotel development, including Hyatt House Rea Farms and Home2Suites by Hilton in Charlotte.
