Michael’s English Muffins is preparing to expand its footprint in Raleigh, with plans to move into a larger space within the same property to support the bakery’s growing retail and wholesale operations. According to Leigh Magazine, the business has signed a lease to relocate a few doors down from its current location on Spring Forest Road, moving from Suite 114 to Suite 110.
This move will triple its existing space, accommodating the company’s expanding wholesale business and providing more room for its retail operations. The company hopes to settle into the new location before the 2027 holiday season.
Michael’s English Muffins was founded around Owner Annabelle Comisar’s passion for baking, hospitality, and quality ingredients. The business takes its name from her late father, who left behind a legacy at an award-winning French restaurant in Cincinnati, Maisonette. Before establishing the bakery, Comisar had experience as a restaurant general manager, worked for an artisan bakery, and then for Sour Grapes, a wine distributor in Raleigh.
The bakery emphasizes a hands-on approach to production, with its English muffins undergoing a 12- to 24-hour process. Its menu features English muffins and breakfast sandwiches, including bacon/egg/cheese and sausage/egg/cheese options.
Customers can also purchase muffins to enjoy at home, with online ordering and shipping available through the company’s website. The business additionally offers catering for events. Its current operating hours are Tuesday through Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m.
