Postino Wine Cafe will be bringing a second location to the Charlotte area. It has plans to join the Commonwealth development in Plaza Midwood, according to reporting by Jason Thomas.
Postino is one of the brands under Phoenix-based Upward Projects’ umbrella. It has 34 locations across Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee and Texas.
Within North Carolina, Postino has one location that opened at The Bowl at Ballantyne last year, as well as a location in Raleigh.
Postino is known for its extensive wine list, which is part of a wider beverage program that also includes signature cocktails, zero-proof cocktails and beer. The food menu features snacks like shrimp scampi and roasted mushroom fondue, charcuterie boards, paninis and salads.
The Commonwealth development has been filling the tenant list for its restaurant and retail offerings over the past couple years. Previously announced tenants include Bartaco, Uchi, Van Leeuwen Ice Cream and Sweetgreen.
As of now, an exact opening timeline for Postino in Plaza Midwood is still forthcoming.
