Mac’s Hospitality has a couple brands heading to Fort Mill. In addition to plans for opening a location of Mac’s Speed Shop in the Fort Mill market, Mac’s Hospitality will bring sister concept SouthBound to the site.

The new location for SouthBound will be built on the lot at 1954 S.C. Highway 160 alongside the new Mac’s Speed Shop. SouthBound, which currently has one location next to the original Mac’s Speed Shop in South End, is known for serving Southern California-inspired street food.

Mac’s Hospitality president Tony Salerno told What Now Charlotte that SouthBound is going through a slight rebrand, which will be reflected in the Fort Mill location.

“We are evolving the brand slightly,” Salerno said. “We got a new executive chef, who is focused on Caribbean-Mexican fusion.”

The new executive chef, Garcia Brown, is leading the menu change.

However, customers can expect an atmosphere similar to the South End location at the upcoming Fort Mill location. The design will have a “laid-back beach vibe,” Salerno said.

The Fort Mill expansion for the two Mac’s Hospitality concepts has been a long time coming.

“It’s a thriving, strong community with great growth in the past couple of years and in the future, and we want to be part of it,” Salerno said.

SouthBound will open after Mac’s Speed Shop. Salerno said they are aiming for an opening in the second quarter of 2026.
