The Pickled Onion is taking over the space formerly home to The Village Grill at 8470 Honeycutt Road in Raleigh’s Lafayette Village.

Owner Greg Sunday confirmed the new location, which is expected to open in the spring, in a phone call with What Now Charlotte.

The Pickled Onion is a locally owned sports bar featuring big screen TVs that showcase a wide array of sports. It currently has locations at Wakefield Commons Drive, Cantilever Way and Forestville Crossing.

It serves items like chicken wings, chili, tacos, nachos, steak, sandwiches and more. The Pickled Onion also serves a wide variety of draft beers, wine, cocktails, coffee and tea.

The Village Grill closed in late December at the address of Honeycutt Road after a 14-year run.

“We’ve shared so many fun moments as a team, and we truly are family. Here’s to the amazing crew that made every shift a joy!” The Village Grill said in a Facebook announcement.
