Reehl Fine Art has secured a permanent location at 4421 Six Forks Road, Suite 113, in Raleigh’s North Hills and is expected to open in November, co-owner Caroline Boykin confirmed to WhatNow Charlotte.
According to the Triangle Business Journal, the gallery is a partnership between Boykin and Willa Kane and will occupy a 3,000-square-foot space formerly leased by Lululemon. The concept will showcase contemporary artwork from local and nationally recognized painters, sculptors, and ceramicists.
The Triangle Business Journal reports that the gallery has already signed 15 artists and expects to expand its roster to around 30. Artists represented will include Raleigh-based Caroline Boykin, Jason Craighead, Corey Mason, and Kerry Schroeder, along with Hunt Slonem, Carly Allen Martin, and Tyler Guinn.
In addition to rotating exhibitions, the Triangle Business Journal reports that Reehl Fine Art will host artist talks, dinners, and other community events while serving collectors, interior designers, and corporate clients looking for original artwork.
According to the publication, Boykin and Kane are equal partners in the venture and have signed a 10-year lease with two five-year renewal options. Raleigh-based Hobgood Architects is designing the gallery, while Riley-Lewis General Contractors is overseeing the buildout. Artwork will range from pieces priced in the low thousands to works valued in the five figures, according to the publication.
Once open, Reehl Fine Art will offer collectors, businesses, and homeowners a curated destination to discover contemporary artwork while giving artists a permanent platform to showcase their work in one of Raleigh’s fastest-growing districts.
