A new Chick-fil-A restaurant started serving the Avondale community on Thursday, June 8. Chick-fil-A, Inc. has selected Josh Galati as the independent franchised Owner/ Operator of Chick-fil-A Addison & Elston.
Located at 3246 W Addison St., Chick-fil-A Addison & Elston is open for dine-in and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday. The Addison & Elston restaurant joins 47 other Chick-fil-A restaurants serving the greater Chicagoland region. As part of the brand’s broader plans to develop its market footprint and open 10-15 new restaurants by 2025, Addison & Elston is the second of five Chick-fil-A restaurants opening in Chicagoland by the year’s end.
As full-time, hands-on leaders in their restaurants and communities, Chick-fil-A Owner/Operators proudly reside in the areas in which they serve.
In Avondale, Galati will be responsible for all day-to-day activities of the business, including employing approximately 80 full- and part-time Team Members, serving guests and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.
A Midwest native, Galati was born and raised just over the Illinois state line in Kenosha, Wisconsin and grew up eating Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwiches at the local Chick-fil-A Regency Mall, where he felt inspired by the company’s quality ingredients and generosity. With an early passion for hospitality, Galati began his journey with Chick-fil-A seven years ago, serving as an Interim Manager and Grand Opening Supervisor within the Chick-fil-A Leadership Development Program, which gives future leaders the chance to learn alongside Operators around the U.S. and Canada. Laddering successes and learnings, he then stepped into the role of Director of Business Development at Chick-fil-A Drexel Town Square in Oak Creek, Wisconsin. Now, as the Operator of Chick-fil-A Addison & Elston, Galati looks forward to introducing Chick-fil-A’s hospitality to Avondale and providing excellent service through care and consistency for both guests and Team Members.
“I feel incredibly fortunate to open a Chick-fil-A in the neighborhood that I now call home, and for the chance to cultivate relationships in the community,” said Galati in a statement. “My hope is to provide Team Members with valuable career opportunities and to inspire them to achieve their dreams, while providing a warm and welcoming environment for guests.”
In celebration of the opening, Chick-fil-A, Inc. will donate $25,000 to Feeding America in honor of the new restaurant. These funds will be distributed to partners in the greater Chicago area to aid in the fight against hunger.
In addition, Chick-fil-A Addison & Elston is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Avondale area by providing them with free Chick-fil-A entrées for a year.
Galati’s restaurant will plan to participate in Chick-fil-A Shared Table, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks and nonprofits in need. To date, more than 18 million meals have been served nationwide from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations.
