After less than a year of its highly anticipated opening, Nisos Mediterranean has announced it is rebranding as Nisos Prime, located in Fulton Market at 802 W. Randolph St.

The restaurant made its debut last July with executive chef Avgeria Stapaki from Greece in the former home of Bad Hunter, according to the Chicago Tribune. Nisos closed earlier this month and announced it was “mutually” parting with Stapaki. Now the company is planning to rebrand as Nisos Prime, a Mediterranean steakhouse offering coastal and inland dishes from France, Greece, Italy, and Spain. Parker Hospitality hopes to open Nisos Prime in July 2023.

The rebrand includes a new menu from award-winning Chef Rick Tramonto, who previously served as executive chef and partner in Tru, a contemporary fine-dining restaurant from Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises. New menu items include “a selection of soups and salads; housemade pasta and risottos; a fresh seafood selection; the highest quality prime beef; and a number of composed dishes,” according to Block Club Chicago. While the menu plans to see a few changes, the interior is expected to remain the same, with a “few small changes” planned.

“We took a minute to focus on what Parker Hospitality does best — creating unforgettable experiences for our guests — and reimagined the restaurant in a whole new way,” Parker Hospitality CEO Brad Parker said in a news release. “Whether you’re coming to Nisos Prime for a drink and a quick bite after work, a romantic date night, or a wild night out in the West Loop, our team will make sure you will leave impressed.”
