Established in 2012, Roost Chicken & Biscuits is making quick work of growth in the Chicago area. According to a Craigslist Advertisement for the popular fried chicken joint, Roost is bringing its bangin’ chicken & biscuits to 515 Davis St. in Evanston.
The eatery, which boasts the ‘best damn chicken & biscuits in the state’ of Illinois (or any state if you order the eatery’s buttermilk biscuit mix), currently operates three shops; Evanston will be its fourth. We were unable to reach Owner Joseph Scroggs for comment at the time of publication, so the opening timeline for the newest location currently remains unclear.
That said, we’re sure you’ll be able to find the hearty Roost menu you’ve come to know and love at its new digs. Roost specializes in fried chicken sandwiches, which come on the highly recommended buttermilk biscuit or the Hawaiian roll. You can build your own or go with a classic option like House Style, Sunrise (oh yes, with an egg on it), or Carolina Style. Heat levels range from Original (mild) to XXX (extra, extra hot). Sides, desserts, and tenders are also on the menu, as well as traditional fried chicken sans biscuit/bun.
