A new barbeque restaurant is planning to open in Dayton this spring, according to a recent article on the matter. Mission BBQ is slated to open this April at 2500 Miamisburg Centerville Rd, near the Dayton Mall, in a building that formerly housed a Panera Bread.
The Maryland based eatery currently has several other locations in Ohio, but the Miamisburg Centerville Road restaurant will be the first to open in the Dayton area.
Founded by Bill Kraus and Steve “Newt” Newton, the chain strives to honor those who have served in the military as well as first responders and shares stories of service, which are features about various service members, on its website. Besides serving a variety of barbecue, the restaurants are also known for their patriotic decor and for playing the national anthem each day at noon.
A few of the menu options at Mission BBQ include barbecue staples such as brisket, baby back ribs and pulled pork as well as sides like baked beans, coleslaw and mac and cheese.
