A Popular Hamburger Fast Food Restaurant May Be on Its Way to Canal Winchester

McDonald’s has filed a permit to build a new restaurant on Refugee Road in Canal Winchester.

According to a permit filed with the city of Columbus, a new McDonald’s restaurant may be coming to Canal Winchester, at 6334 Refugee Road. Per the permit filing, the new construction restaurant project is expected to cost $1.4 million to complete. 

Further information, such as the square footage of the restaurant, the seating capacity, or when the restaurant is expected to open are not known.  What Now Columbus reached out to a representative with McDonald’s to learn when groundbreaking is expected at the site and other details, but more information was not available at the time of this article’s publication, as plans are still being finalized.

The fast-food eatery is located throughout the U.S., and the world, and is known for its burgers, fries, chicken nuggets and breakfast options, along with its selection of McCafe coffee drinks and soft serve ice cream.
