According to a recently filed permit, a new restaurant is coming to 506 W Walnut St. The establishment will be called Hole in the Walnut, and according to the permit filing, the website Bizpedia and the Ohio Secretary of State’s online business search, it is owned by Jason Dahmer.

Several structures on the stretch of Walnut Street are currently undergoing changes, with a number of home owners converting their residential property into businesses, such as the case for Sweeney’s Walnut Street Tavern, which is located next door to Hole in the Walnut, at 500 W Walnut.

What Now Columbus reached out to Dahmer to find out more about Hole in the Walnut, but a request for comment was not returned.

According to the permit filing, the project includes a 750-square-foot addition to the existing two-story structure, adding a new accessible entry with a ramp, as well as new interior and exterior finishes and fixtures and new plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems, and limited site landscaping. Per information in the permit documentation, the scope of work is projected to cost $300,000 to complete.
