According to city permit documents, a new Papa John’s is coming to 1721 S High St in Columbus. As detailed in the permit filing, the work will be for alterations to an existing building with the renovations to include installing a new hood, a pizza oven, gas piping and gas lines, restroom and kitchen plumbing fixtures, with the total cost for the remodeling work projected at $450,000.

With over 150 Papa John’s locations in the state of Ohio, the pizza company focuses on a delivery and carry-out business model. The menu focuses on pizza, along with wings and house specialty items papadias and papabites, plus cookies, brownies and other desserts.

The pizza chain is operated by franchise owners, and documents associated with the permit filing lists a Texas-based company as the franchisee for the South High Street restaurant. What Now Columbus reached out to the franchise owner to learn a timeline for opening, but a request for comment was not returned.
