A recent permit filing shows that another Popeyes restaurant is on its way to Columbus, with the newest location coming to 4060 Morse Crossing, in Easton. The permit filing details work to be performed on the existing structure, which was a Burger King restaurant, and turning that space into a new Popeyes restaurant. According to language in the permit filing, the work will include a complete renovation of the interior and exterior of the existing building, with the project estimated to cost $1.5 million.
With 3,000 Popeyes restaurants in North America and nearly 30 located in Ohio, the popular eatery is known for serving Louisiana style sides such as mashed potatoes with cajun gravy and red beans and rice. Of course the chain is equally as famous for its chicken, which it sells in pieces such as breasts, legs and thighs, as well as breaded chicken tenders, nuggets, wings and sandwiches. The menu also includes sides like fries, mac and cheese, slaw and biscuits.
The permit filing lists The Gilligan Company as the owner of the Morse Crossing Popeyes location. The Gilligan Company is an Ohio based company that serves as a franchisor for Subway, Popeyes and Dunkin’ Donuts in addition to operating numerous convenience store chains in the area.
