According to recent reporting, Biggby Coffee continues its expansion in central Ohio, with a new location announced at 3593 S Dixie Highway in Middletown, a Dayton suburb. As previously reported on What Now Columbus, last month Biggby Coffee franchisees announced three new stores in Columbus proper, with an additional location opening in nearby Marysville.

With the opening of the Middletown location, Scott Bunch and his wife, Molli, will open their second Biggby Coffee franchise. The coffee shop will be housed in a location previously occupied by OrthoSport Physical Therapy Center. In order to make the building suitable for the coffee shop, the couple is investing in the interior build-out, which includes adding a drive-thru and two conference rooms for customers who need a space to hold business meetings.

Scott Bunch tells What Now Columbus the couple plans to open in September and once it opens, Bunch sees the location filling a need, since there are very few drive-thru coffee offerings in the area.

Biggby Coffee currently has over 300 locations throughout the Midwest and the East Coast. The coffee chain serves java drinks like lattes and americanos, as well as tea and their signature smoothies called a creme freeze, available in a number of flavors with fruits such as the strawberry chai creme freeze. In addition to drinks, they also serve bagels, breakfast and lunch sandwiches and muffins.
