As reported in a recent Columbus Underground article, Biscuits By Daddy-O, located at 821 E Long St, closed last month when a fire broke out overnight due to a device with lithium batteries exploding. In addition to selling gluten-free sweet and savory biscuits and pizzas in its cafe, the shop also has a production area to package and sell its own boxed gluten-free biscuit mixes, which it sells in-store and online.

This week, the company posted an update to its Facebook page that clean up is progressing and it hopes to reopen to resume production of its boxed mixes as early as the end of next week, and aims to open the cafe within a few weeks of resuming production.

What Now Columbus reached out to owner Aaron Blevins for more information regarding the cafe’s reopening plans, but a request for comment was not immediately returned.
