According to a recent Columbus Business First article, Homestead Beer Co. is making plans to move. The brewery recently announced that it has acquired Heart State Brewing and will take over its taproom and brewing facility located at 750 Cross Pointe Dr, in Gahanna.

Homestead Beer Co. will take over Heart State Brewing’s 16,000 square foot production space and the acquisition will allow both beer brands to be produced in the facility. The Gahanna taproom is currently under renovation and when it’s complete, the space will have a full kitchen and will serve cocktails along with beers by both brands.

Homestead Beer Co. started in Heath and at the moment, it plans to keep its Heath taproom open, but the lease is up this summer. The brewery also has locations at 108 S Main St, in Marysville, a taproom in Canal Winchester at 10 S High St, and last fall the company announced plans to open a to-go location at the East Market inside the Barrel & Boar space.
