Johnson’s Real Ice Cream this week announced that it will open a new ice cream shop in May 2025. The new shop will be located in Pickerington at 192 Hill Road North in the city’s Olde Village, in a building that once housed a mid-century garage. This announcement comes after the company shared the news last month that it would open a Powell scoop shop next year.
2025 will mark the company’s 75th year in business, and with the addition of the Powell and Pickerington locations, Johnson’s will have eight stores in operation by spring 2025.
The Pickerington location will feature a 1,400-square-foot interior and a 748-square-foot covered patio, with an additional 678-square-foot rooftop patio. The design will provide ample room for guests who wish to enjoy their treats, as well as having a private space available for parties.
“As we approach our 75th anniversary, we’re excited to become part of the Pickerington community,” Matt Wilcoxon, fourth-generation owner of Johnson’s Real Ice Cream, said in a statement. “With its unique rooftop patio and inviting design, our new location offers a great space for friends and neighbors to connect and enjoy delicious ice cream.”
Last month, in a statement from the company, Johnson’s shared that it was planning to commemorate its 75th anniversary with the return of nostalgic flavors, contests and community celebrations. Stay up to date with Johnson’s Real Ice Cream by following it on Facebook or Instagram.
