According to a recent Columbus Monthly article, food truck Zaki Mediterranean Grill is set to become the next tenant at Budd Dairy Food Hall, located at 1086 N 4th St, in Italian Village. The Mediterranean eatery, which is owned by Ahmed Qaraja, currently has three food trucks that operate around the city.

Earlier this year Qaraja was accepted into the food hall’s Hatch incubator program, that allows a rotating series of select chefs to operate out of a kitchen and use the opportunity as a springboard for growth.

Now, Zaki is slated to take over the spot where Cousins Maine Lobster previously operated next month. “We’re excited, and we’re going to be very busy. It’s an excellent location, with good vibes and good people,” Qaraja said.

The eatery offers Mediterranean cuisine, such as gyros and Zaki fries, topped with garlic sauce, banana peppers and cheese. Qaraja shares that guests can expect some expanded menu options at the new food hall spot, including more kabobs, a variety of specials as well as vegetarian and vegan choices.

Budd Dairy Food Hall is in a former dairy factory and is part of the Columbus based restaurant group Cameron Mitchell Restaurants.
