A new restaurant serving slow-cooked Indonesian dishes is set to arrive on the city’s north side.

Nusantara Indo Kitchen will be a new concept in Clintonville at 3250 N High Street, from their social media. It will be one of the few dedicated Indonesian restaurants in the city. Owner Paskalia Timbuleng said there is not an opening date yet, but it will be sometime this spring or summer.

“We’re proud to bring rich, bold flavors of Indonesia to the heart of Ohio,” says their caption on Facebook. It adds the menu will feature home-style dishes with authentic ingredients.

Some of the dishes described in a recent post include beef rendang, atomic curry dishes and freshly grilled satay. The full menu is still being constructed. It promises “a memorable culinary journey unlike any other.”

The location is already listed online, and it will be opening at the corner of N High Street and E Como Avenue. This is right across from The Galaxy Coffee, and it used to be Down Memory Lane, a vintage and antique store. It is only a few blocks north of Old North, and not far from The Ohio State University Main Campus.

Timbuleng and the team are still working on permitting and inspections to get a more firm opening date. More information on Nusantara can be found on their Facebook page.
