Permit Filing Shows a New Sushi Eatery May Be on Its Way to Polaris Mall

According to city permit documents, Ujelei Sushi has applied to operate out of a kiosk at the Polaris Mall.

A recent permit filing shows that a new sushi eatery called Ujelei Sushi is making plans to operate at 1500 Polaris Pkwy, at a kiosk inside Polaris Fashion Place. Per language in the permit documents, the work is for construction of a new kiosk within the confines of the existing  Polaris Mall in a previous kiosk location. Work to be performed will entail modifying existing plumbing and electrical systems for new use, with the total projected scope of work to cost $20,000, according to the permit filing. 

What Now Columbus reached out to Ujelei Sushi for comment on what the eatery will serve and when the company anticipates opening at the mall, and learned that the business hopes to be open by July, depending on the construction process.

The menu offerings will include sushi, sushi rolls, hand rolls, donburi bowls, available with brown and white rice, as well as sashimi, udon and soba noodle soup. There will also be some Asian snacks and merchandise available too.   

Currently, Polaris Fashion Place boasts over 40 places to grab a bite or a sip, with choices ranging from fast casual to dine-in establishments, according to information on the mall’s website
