According to a recent permit filing a Columbus area White Castle will soon receive a significant facelift. The permit filing details remodeling work that will happen at the White Castle located at 1435 E Dublin Granville Rd. Per language in the filing, the interior scope of work includes “selective demolition” in order to create a new restaurant layout, as well as laying new flooring, replacing ceilings and finishes, along with some updated mechanical, plumbing, and electrical work.

Outside, the improvements include repaving and restriping the parking lot, and making changes to existing windows and doors to better align with the proposed interior layout. The total cost of the remodel is projected at $750,000, per language in the permit filing.

This permit filing comes on the heels of a previous filing from last month that detailed a major renovation at its 1025 Alum Creek Dr location that proposed that restaurant be razed and rebuilt. What Now Columbus reached out to the chain about that permit filing, but the representative shared that no details were available during the early stages of the permit process.

White Castle is currently located in just over a dozen states, with more than 40 restaurants in Ohio. The fast food chain serves breakfast offerings like sandwiches, as well as the burger sliders the restaurant may be best known for, along with sides like fries and mozzarella sticks.
