Popular Columbus barbecue joint Ray Ray’s Hog Pit is getting a permanent address in Clintonville. The new brick-and-mortar location—set to open in mid to late June—will be at 4214 N. High St., sharing space with Fusian and taking over the storefront formerly occupied by Wizard of ‘Za.

This marks a major upgrade from Ray Ray’s longtime food truck spot in the Ace of Cups parking lot, just a few blocks south. Owner James Anderson said the move will provide better working conditions for his team, especially during the colder months. “We are excited for the upgrade into a brick and mortar,” Anderson said. “While it’s small, it’s going to have excellent accessibility for takeout, a few dine-in tables, and a few tables for outdoor seating.”

The Clintonville shop will follow closely on the heels of Ray Ray’s first full-service restaurant, which opened May 13 in downtown Marion. That location features table service, a full bar, and a few new menu surprises—like barbecue spaghetti balls.

Ray Ray’s currently operates five locations throughout Central Ohio, and as the team said in their recent announcement, they’re “only getting started.”
