The Burger King location at 4600 International Gateway, inside the John Glenn Columbus International Airport, will soon see some improvements, according to a recent permit filing. As detailed in the permit, the renovations will include updating the exterior facade and making improvements to the sales counter, with the work projected to cost $70,000.
Best known for being “Home of the Whopper” which is the fast food burger chain’s famously large burger topped with lettuce, tomato, pickle and onion, Burger King started in 1954 in Florida. Currently there are over 6,000 Burger King restaurants in the U.S.
Besides the whopper, the chain also sells a smaller version of the jumbo burger called a whopper junior, as well as chicken sandwiches, fries, onion rings and chicken fries. The eatery also serves breakfast like croissant sandwiches made with egg and breakfast meats, breakfast hash browns and breakfast burritos.
The Burger King located inside the John Glenn Columbus International Airport is operated by HMSHost, an American highway and airport food service company.
