As first reported by the Dayton Business Journal, The Cellar by Bottle No. 121, which is located at 1600 W Main St in Troy, is set to undergo renovations that will double its square footage. The business features a retail portion where patrons can find craft beer, wine and spirits, as well as 22 taps and a bar area where guests can have a glass of beer or wine on site.

The Cellar’s owner David Peeples tells What Now Columbus that the current bar area’s configuration features six seats at the bar, along with a few high-top tables that offer space for six more guests. Currently, when the business hosts events such as wine tastings, the team brings out additional tables that allow seating for 30.

The renovations will take the establishment’s current footprint from 2,000-square-feet to 4,000-square-feet. Peeples said that when the renovations are complete, the bar area will have enough room to keep those additional tables out all the time, as well as seating for up to 18 at the bar, plus some soft seating options that can be added to the area that will bring that space’s capacity to 50 to 60 guests.

The construction is slated to begin this month and the new space is expected to be completed by spring 2025. Once the renovations are complete, the business will use the larger space to host multiple events each week such as wine and beer tastings, karaoke nights and euchre tournaments as well as utilizing the space for private parties.
