As first reported by Dayton Daily News, the fourth and final vendor to operate at the forthcoming and highly-anticipated Dayton food hall called The Silos, located at 800 E 1st St, has been announced. Indigo, a concept by Ordinarie Fare, will serve a plant-forward menu featuring farm to table salads, grain bowls, herbal elixirs and West Coast inspired burritos.

Indigo is owned by Katie Mathews, who opened Ordinarie Fare in 2020 as a way to provide the Dayton area with gluten-free and plant-forward options. Mathews has grown Ordinarie Fare from a pop-up and meal delivery service into a brick and mortar located inside Second Street Market and a food truck.

With Indigo, Mathews will continue to focus on plant-forward offerings and the menu will feature the colorful, beautiful plant-forward meals guests of Ordinarie Fare have come to know and love over the past four years.

The Silos food hall concept has been in the works for over a year, and owners Wes Hartshorn and Shannon Thomas will soon bring their vision of a food hall built out of shipping containers to life. Construction is nearing its end and the food hall is slated to open some time this fall.
