Wine shop Coast Wine House is making plans to expand, in the form of a restaurant called Gene’s which will be located at 91 S High St, in Dublin’s historic district, according to a recent Columbus Underground article. Gene’s will operate out of a house that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and while the 1,500 square foot establishment will get a few updates, such as new paint, the building’s historic footprint will remain intact.

Inside, the establishment will seat 45 people, with another 25 seats available on the outdoor patio. Food served as the eatery will have a regional, seasonal focus and guests can expect “American fare with global flair,” according to the article.

Initially, the eatery will serve dinner, with lunch and weekend brunch hours expected to start shortly after opening. The menu is being created by a graduate of Québec’s Institute of Tourism & Hospitality, chef Bobby Moore, who has also served as the chef and kitchen manager at Coast Wine House. In addition to wine, Gene’s will also serve a variety of cocktails, along with beer and non-alcoholic selections.

Both Coast Wine House and Gene’s are owned by Dustin and Molly Snow. Gene’s is named after Molly’s grandfather and is currently slated to open in spring or summer.
