It is nearly opening day for a DFW dining experience over a year in the making. 1902, the latest concept from Alora Restaurant Group, will begin greeting customers later this spring, reports Community Impact.

The restaurant will be serving up American fare in a 1,600 square foot storefront located at 209 West Broadway. 1902 recently received its certificate of occupancy, a development certain to set local stomachs rumbling. Alora Restaurant Group has not yet announced an official opening date for the eatery but anticipates being customer ready at some point in May.

1902’s menu will be overseen by Culinary Director and COO, Chef Amy DiBiase. The restaurant’s social media post introducing future customers to Chef DiBiase offers a glimpse at the menu, saying: “Think items such as oysters; delicious apps like her 1902 Steak Tartare, Ham & Cheese hush puppies, Mexican Shrimp Cocktail; crisp and creative salads; rotisserie chicken; Prime Rib Sandwich; pork ribs; filets; house made pastas; Butter Poached Lobster Roll; stuffed Trout; Bourbon & Brown Sugar Brined Kan Kan Pork Chop & more…did we mention desserts”

1902 is on deck to become a Plano classic. The Alora team is ready to greet and delight customers, saying: “We are as excited as ever to open our doors in May to welcome y’all to our hospitality and to add to the fabric of this wonderful community. We are humbled by and appreciative of your support in advance and cannot wait to be with you soon.”
