Owner Sam Wynne is breathing new life into an old home on 2414 N. Henderson Avenue. A barber shop in its past life, the spot will soon become Lawnie’s bar.

A recent article from Culture Map Dallas described the concept as “a casual, front-lawn hangout, featuring packaged beer, basic cocktails, and a comfortable setting to sit down and enjoy.”

In that article, Wynne said that beer is part of who he is. Customers can expect that love to be reflected in 30 packaged offerings to compliment food offerings from local food trucks.

Wynne is the owner of the now-closed Braindead Brewing of Deep Vellum, which shut its doors in 2021. Wynne also owned Bowls & Tacos, which was among one of the first poke places to open in Dallas.

Though Lawnie’s will not offer beer on tap, the customer-focused combo of good beer, a good environment, and good company will continue at the upcoming ice house.
