Vinum 55 in Allen is expanding.
The members-only wine-tasting lounge will open an onsite wine warehouse following permit approval by City Council. The forthcoming warehouse will occupy 7,140 square feet. An additional 890 square feet will be used for office and business space and another 500 square feet will be restaurant space for wine tastings.
Councilmember Baine Brooks told The Dallas Morning News that Vinum 55’s expansion will be good for Allen. “I’m really excited about this,” he said.
Formerly Wine 55, Vinum 55 out of Phoenix, Arizona, purchased the Texas-based wine storage business as part of its expansion plans. It opened its first out-of-state location in August 2021 at 13 Prestige Cir, suite 140 in Allen. It is the fourth Vinum 55 location in the U.S. The other three are in Phoenix, Chandler and Scottsdale.
First opened in 2013, Vinum 55 offers wine collectors a state-of-the-art facility where they can enjoy complimentary delivery acceptance, online inventory management and valuation, and rare purchasing opportunities of fully allocated collection-building wines. Cellars are temperature and humidity-controlled with 24/7 security and backup generators.
Vinum 55 has plans to expand further in Texas and the southeastern U.S. in the coming years.
