2026 is already shaping up to be a huge year for the DFW culinary scene, with many exciting new concepts on the horizon. While there are many upcoming restaurants certain to make Dallas-area mouths water, Bafang Dumpling is certain to be one of the new arrivals most welcome and celebrated by local foodies. The chain, described as the “Taiwanese Dumpling King”, has filed paperwork for a Frisco location, with work set to start next year.
Bafang Dumpling will be serving up customers at 9180 Warren Parkway, Suite #130. Work is set to commence on the restaurant alongside the spring thaw; paperwork filed with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation shows that construction is scheduled to begin on the 3,200 square foot storefront on March 1 of 2026. The project is estimated to wrap by July 30, boding well for a late summer or early autumn opening.
Bafang Dumpling has travelled quite a way-both literally and figuratively-to feed hungry DFW foodies. The restaurant was founded by a math teacher and his wife in Taiwan in 1998. Fueled by delicious potstickers and dumplings, the chain has spread to include more than 1,100 storefronts in Taiwan, China, and Hong Kong. The brand now has its sights set on the States.
